On December 12, during the communication meeting ahead of NIO Day 2024, NIO announced the latest progress in the construction of its charging and battery swapping infrastructure. As of December 12, NIO has built 2,779 battery swap stations nationwide, including 907 along highways. NIO aims to establish a national highway battery swap network covering 9 vertical and 9 horizontal routes within the year, with plans to construct over 900 highway battery swap stations, averaging one station approximately every 200 kilometers of highway. This marks the completion of the highway battery swap network construction between major cities in the country, making it the first domestic company to complete the coverage of charging and energy supply facilities along national highway trunk lines.
