ETF Review | Hong Kong's innovative drugs sector accelerated its rise in the afternoon, with the Hong Kong Stock Connect innovative drugs ETF gaining 3%.
The three major indexes of A-shares fluctuated narrowly, as of the close, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.04%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.16%, and the ChiNext Price Index fell 0.10%. The trading volume of the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets was 526.5 billion yuan, an increase of 16.3 billion yuan compared to the previous day. Over 3,800 stocks in the two markets rose. On the market, the battery, western development, and non-ferrous metal sectors led the gains, while the foldable screen, AI glasses, and other consumer electronics concept stocks rose. The performance of high-speed highways, education, baijiu, and other sectors was sluggish. As for ETFs, Hong Kong-listed innovative drugs rebounded strongly, and the Huatai-PineBridge Fund Hong Kong Stock Connect Innovative Drugs ETF and the Yinhua Fund Hong Kong Stock Connect Innovative Drugs ETF rose by 3.07% and 2.55% respectively.
ETF review: The afternoon decline in the innovative drugs sector deepened, with the CSI Innovative Drugs Industry ETF and the Hong Kong Stock Connect Innovative Drugs ETF both falling 2%.
The three major indexes of A shares rebounded, with the Shanghai Composite Index up 0.20%, the Shenzhen Component Index up 0.24%, and the ChiNext Price Index up 0.02%. The Beijing 50 Index fell 0.70%. The total turnover of the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets was 510.2 billion yuan, a decrease of 38.9 billion yuan compared to the previous day. Over 3,200 stocks in the two markets declined. In terms of market performance, the battery, lithium, and clothing and home textiles sectors were the top decliners, while the online car-hailing and pharmaceutical sectors were down. The Huawei industry chain surged, and the western development concept stocks rose at the end of the day. As for ETFs, the large financial sector rose, and the Huafu Fund ZhengquanETF Pioneer and the E Fund Zhengquan Insurance ETF rose by 4.08% and 1.9% respectively.
