About Shanghai Construction Group Company

The company is the earliest state-owned enterprise in Shanghai to achieve overall listing. Formerly known as the Construction Engineering Bureau of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, founded in 1953, it adheres to the “executive power” genes of the People's Army, the “integrity” genes of modern building builders, and the “craftsman” genes of craftsmen in the Jiao County of Shanghai. In 1994, it was completely restructured into a group enterprise with Shanghai Construction Engineering (Group) Corporation as the parent company of assets. In 1998, it initiated the establishment of a company limited by shares and listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. In 2010 and 2011, after two rounds of asset restructuring, the overall listing was completed. The company has formed a core business structure based on construction business, supported by design consulting business and building materials industry business, with real estate development business and urban construction investment business as two wings. Corporate honors include: In June 2018, the Group received the first batch of “Shanghai Brand” certifications awarded by the Shanghai Brand International Certification Alliance; in November 2016, the Group received the “Internet+ Era” Lean Culture Construction Benchmark Enterprise from the China Corporate Culture Research Association, and the Grand Prize of the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award.
