The company's predecessor was the Central Electrical Equipment Factory of the National Government Resources Commission, founded in 1936, and was included in 156 national key construction projects during the “First Five-Year Plan” period. In 1999, the company concentrated some excellent assets in its main business and went public in July 2002, becoming the first listed company in Hunan Province to pass the approval system and the first listed company in Xiangtan City. The company is engaged in the design, production and sale of generators, AC/DC motors, special motors, marine propulsion systems, electrical control equipment, mechatronic systems, transformers, wind turbines; develops and develops subway vehicle traction systems and hybrid vehicle drive systems; and carries out technology development and general engineering contracting for new energy projects and energy saving and environmental protection projects.
