In September 1993, it was restructured as Shanghai Yimin Department Store Co., Ltd. with the approval of the Finance and Trade Office of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. The company was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on February 4, 1994. In October 2007, the company changed its name to Shanghai Yimin Commercial Group Co., Ltd.; in November 2010, the company was once again renamed Shanghai Yimin Commercial Group Co., Ltd.
