About Chongqing Iron & Steel Company

The company was founded in August 1997. H shares were issued on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in the same year, and A shares were issued on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2007. At the end of 2017, Chongqing Iron and Steel completed judicial restructuring, and the nature of the enterprise changed from state-owned holdings to mixed ownership. It is mainly engaged in the production and sale of hot-rolled sheets, medium and thick plates, rebar, wire, steel billets, steel by-products, and coke coal chemical products. The main production lines are: 4100mm wide and thick plate production line, 2700mm medium and thick plate production line, 1780mm hot rolled sheet production line, high-speed wire and bar production line. Steel for hull structures, boilers and pressure vessels produced by the company won the title of “China Famous Brand Product”, and 4 other products won the title of “Chongqing Famous Brand”. The company has successively received honorary titles such as the National May 1st Labor Award, National Advanced Enterprise Implementing the Excellent Performance Model, Chongqing Famous Trademark, Chongqing Quality and Efficiency Enterprise, and Chongqing Contract-honoring and Trustworthy Enterprise. In 2023, the company successfully passed the “High-tech Enterprise” certification. Hot-rolled wide and thick steel plates for structural steel used for bridges have won the honorary title of “Jinbei High Quality Product” by the China Iron and Steel Industry Association, the company has successively received the National May 1st Labor Award, the National Advanced Enterprise Implementing the Excellent Performance Model, Chongqing Famous Trademark, Chongqing Quality and Efficiency Enterprise, and Chongqing Contract-honoring and Trustworthy Enterprise.
