Logical Investment?

$AXIATA (6888.MY)$ Dont understand why EPF bought in such big volume lately? Big competition on telco services, Boost pay/Bank non stable (at least experience from both my both old Samsung and new XiaoMi phone), not clear profit direction on digiBank services.

domo鲲 : Perhaps it is anticipating the need for network infrastructure and some data-related calculations after the establishment of the Datacenter. As for digital Banks, currently using Boost Bank and GX Bank. The later discounts of GX Bank are not attractive, while the Boost Bank savings jar is particularly appealing, with special offers and a 2% shopping rebate provided by the Boost Bank card, which is more attractive than the discounts offered by major Banks. In the short term, such promotions may indeed pose a profitability risk, but Boost Bank has the experience of RHB Bank, its major Shareholder in the financial sector, so there must be corresponding solutions. Axiata, at the forefront, has a more debatable core Business, like merging the Indonesian subsidiary with another company and the rumors circulating about a company offering to buy Axiata's subsidiary, edotco.

PartTimeFarmer OP domo鲲 : TnG GO+ offers 3.64% p.a daily return interest. Cashback on spending, many Credit cards still offering attractive cashback, nowadays it's so common that people use QR scan. Stickiness to credit card and QR payment for existing users will remains. Neither to Boost Bank nor GX Bank as far as i see.

PartTimeFarmer OP domo鲲 : For the datacenter, there are big players like Amazon, Microsoft, Alicloud... with much more established and matured architecture and competitive subscription price.I don't see there is much hope unless gov impose local contend policy or tax rebate incentives to encourage made in Malaysia product or services. Now giants has been establishing data centers in Malaysia, local contend don't think will happen, tax incentive would have to focus on national budget publish.
