Despite a decline in revenue in the third quarter, Cube is steadily expanding sales in the domestic retail market.
Cube <7112> announced its financial results for the third quarter of the fiscal year ending December 2024 (January to September 24). Revenue decreased by 6.8% year-on-year to 3.569 billion yen, operating profit decreased by 58.6% to 0.152 billion yen, ordinary profit decreased by 59.0% to 0.152 billion yen, and quarterly net profit decreased by 61.3% to 0.092 billion yen. Domestic retail and domestic EC were significantly affected by the hot summer weather, resulting in sluggish sales of new fall and winter products. However, domestic retail performed well in 2023.

Cube---Monthly sales report for direct stores in October 2024
Cube <7112> announced the preliminary monthly sales report for October 2024 for directly operated stores on the 6th. Directly operated store revenue increased by 106.5% year-on-year for all stores and 97.4% for existing stores. Due to higher temperatures than usual in October, new autumn and winter products struggled, but following September, sales at the renovated Daimaru Shinsaibashi store and various pop-up stores across the country were strong, resulting in total store revenue exceeding the previous year. Same-store sales were strong for inbound sales.
Driven by the weak yen, the consumer spending of tourists visiting Japan in the first 9 months has reached a new high.
