Mr. Mask's xAI is rapidly catching up to OpenAI.

It has been reported that Elon Musk has been focusing on rapidly growing his artificial intelligence (ai) startup xAI over the past year. In a plan to establish a new datacenter, he urged contractors to complete it in an unprecedentedly short period of just a few months, and regarding the new facility, Musk expressed confidence that by December, xAI will contribute to providing the world's strongest ai "in every indicator".

Nikkei Average Contribution Ranking (before the close) ~ The Nikkei Average fell back, with Tokyo Electron lowering it by about 27 yen from a single stock.

At the closing time on the 29th, the number of rising stocks in the Nikkei average constituent stocks was 73, the number of falling stocks was 149, and the number of unchanged stocks was 3. The Nikkei average fell. It ended the morning session of trading at 38,193.01 yen, down 156.05 yen (-0.41%) from the previous day, with an estimated volume of 750 million shares. The US market was closed for Thanksgiving holiday last night. In the foreign exchange market, trading of major currencies remained sluggish. The dollar-yen pair struggled to rise. In comparison to the Tokyo Stock Exchange (converted at 1 dollar to 151.07 yen), Japanese stocks of American Depositary Receipts (ADR) such as Japan Post Bank <7182>, Japan Post <6178>, SoftBank Group <9984>, Renesas <6723>, Nidec <6594>, Advantest <6857>, and Mitsubishi Corporation <8058> have declined, indicating overall selling pressure. The clearing price of Chicago Nikkei 225 Futures is 37,810 yen, down 290 yen compared to daytime trading in Osaka. The US stock market has fallen back. The Dow Inc. average decreased by 138.25 dollars to 44,722.

SoftBank Group aims to acquire shares from OpenAI employees.

[Generating AI] Softbank Group <9984> is reportedly aiming to increase its investment ratio by acquiring up to $1.5 billion (approximately 230 billion yen) worth of shares from employees of the US OpenAI, as multiple sources have revealed.
