Japan Exchange Group Upgraded to Neutral From Sell at Goldman Sachs
The Nikkei average fell by 172 points, dropping for the first time in four days, with a stronger yen weighing down, but many Main Board stocks rose = 7 days before the market.
Seven days ago, the Nikkei average stock price fell by 172.88 yen compared to the previous day, reaching 38,893.65 yen, marking a decline for the first time in four days. The TOPIX (Tokyo Stock Price Index) dropped by 10.61 points to 2,741.59 points. With the backdrop of a stronger yen, selling was dominant from the morning, and at 9:27 AM, the price reached 38,753.20 yen, down 313.33 yen. Subsequently, there was a movement to buy on dips, which reduced the decline. In the Foreign Exchange market, the yen strengthened to below 151 yen per dollar at one point, but later returned to 151 yen.
The Nikkei average is up about 200 yen; after finishing buying, it is weighed down by selling as it waits for a rebound = 6 days before the market.
On the 6th, at 10:02 AM, the Nikkei average stock price is trading around 39,030 yen, approximately 200 yen higher than the previous day. At 9:29 AM, it reached 39,190.13 yen, up 358 yen and 65 sen. In the USA on the 5th, the ISM Non-Manufacturing Index for January fell below market financial estimates, raising concerns about an economic slowdown. However, the yield on 10-year government bonds declined (prices increased), alleviating the relative overvaluation of stocks. Both the NY Dow and Nasdaq indices have risen for three consecutive days. Japanese stocks are also performing steadily like those in the USA.
