JAL has entered into an international partnership agreement with Major League Baseball. Since signing an image character contract with Hideki Matsui, who transferred to Major League Baseball in 2003, JAL has supported many Japanese Major League players, including Shohei Ohtani and Masataka Yoshida. In recent years, many Japanese players have been active in MLB, and many Japanese baseball fans visiting America to watch the games have boarded JAL flights.
The first operation of electric high lift loader and electric belt loader by a Japan airlines will start at Haneda Airport from December 17th.
TREPEL manufactured electric high-lift loaders EINSA manufactured electric belt loaders JAL is the first among japanese airlines to introduce electric high-lift loaders (hereafter referred to as "HL") and electric belt loaders (hereafter referred to as "BL"), and will start full-scale operations at Haneda Airport on December 17, 2024 (Tuesday). HL works in conjunction with towing tractors (*1) that pull aircraft-specific containers or pallets loaded with baggage, mail, and cargo.

JAL and JAL Engineering (hereinafter referred to as JALEC) have been awarded the 'IT Award (Open Innovation Area)' in the '2024 IT Awards (42nd Edition)' announced by the Public Interest Incorporated Association of Corporate IT (commonly known as the IT Association). This marks the third time for JAL to receive the IT Award, following last year, but it is the first time to receive an award in the open innovation area.
