The "JAL Life Status Program" is celebrating its 1st anniversary.
Starting in January 2024, in addition to the previous use of aircraft, the "JAL Life Status Program" (*) will offer statuses and benefits through lifetime achievement points accumulated by using various services in daily life, and thanks to your support, we will celebrate our first anniversary in January 2025. Aiming to be a program that can support customers even more in their everyday lives, from January 2025, the JAL Life Status Program will include eligible Star grades.

Application for revision of the international flight "fuel surcharge" (for tickets issued from February to March 2025).
JAL has applied to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism for a revision of the application amount for the "Fuel Special Additional Charge" (commonly known as "fuel surcharge") applicable from February 2025. JAL reviews the fuel special additional charge amount every two months based on the average fuel market price over the most recent two months. The two-month average of Singapore kerosene market prices from October to November 2024 was $88.60 per barrel. This was multiplied by the average exchange rate of 151.57 yen per dollar during the same period.
JAL has signed a Resistance contract with athlete Yuki Kawamura.
JAL has signed a support contract with player Yuki Kawamura, who continues to challenge in the American professional basketball league. After joining the Yokohama B-Corsairs as a professional player in 2022, Kawamura played two seasons with the Yokohama B-Corsairs until the 2023-24 season. In the 2022-2023 season, he achieved a historic six individual titles in B-League history, and in the 2023-2024 season, he was selected as the assist king and among the BEST Inc five for the second consecutive year, shining brightly.

Alchemists/JAL has become the first Airlines in Japan to collaborate with Visa, the official partner of the "Michelin Guide Tokyo 2025," offering JAL Visa cardholders the privilege to experience exceptional cuisine and performances at Michelin-rated Restaurants through an invitation to a private dinner. This benefit allows guests to enjoy a specially designed menu crafted by chefs from Michelin-starred Restaurants in a private setting.

JAL has been selected as one of the "Top 100" in the Global Award "Corporate Startup Stars 2024," and its internal venture "W-PIT (*1)" received a "Special Award." This award is organized by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) (*2) and Mind the Bridge (*3) to evaluate pioneering efforts in open innovation between companies and startups, and will be held in January 2024.
