JAL and Bridgestone expand tire wear prediction technology to large aircraft.
(Joint press release) Japan Airlines (JAL) and Bridgestone Corporation have expanded their planned tire replacement operation utilizing tire wear prediction technology to larger aircraft operated by JAL, including the Airbus A350-900, starting May 2024. The image aircraft tires for tire wear prediction are based on the premise of ensuring safety, withstanding harsh conditions such as heavy loads, high speeds, and a wide range of temperatures from high to low.
JAL and ENEOS have entered into a contract related to SAF trading.
(Joint Press Release) Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as "JAL") and ENEOS Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as "ENEOS") have signed a contract for the sale and purchase of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in order to expedite the social implementation of SAF, a sustainable aviation fuel, in Japan. Through this contract, ENEOS will become the first domestic oil wholesaler to import SAF and will further promote the procurement of SAF domestically and internationally.
