韭菜变主力 : Pootpoot, I have to disagree with you this time. AMD is at resistance and the downward trend is still in effect. However, the next leg down would be the 5th after the earnings report. Additionally,  according to my system, AMD is oversold in the medium term,  another technical (not based on fundamentals) leg down would create a strong buying opportunity relative to other stocks, especially semi stocks. So, I don’t think puts would be very effective. Selling short-term upside covered calls might be better if you don’t mind giving up potential unexpected upside.
