CARLSBAD, Calif., Dec. 30, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- AppTech Payments Corp. ("AppTech or the "Company") (NASDAQ: APCX) announced today that it has accepted the resignation of Luke D'Angelo, as the Company's Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director effective December 24, 2024. Mr. D'Angelo will continue his employment as Chairman of the Company's Board of Directors. The Company has appointed Thomas DeRosa to serve as Interim CEO.

J2thad81 SakataGin OP : think of it in the context of chemistry. In living organisms, the breakdown of glucose with oxygen produces ATP energy. The CEO stepped down but is still with the company. No talent lost. The new CEO has been with the company a little over a year in product project management. He has 40 years of leadership experience. Strategic move, he is more than capable. Especially having the previous CEO as chairman. He will be an asset in helping the new CEO navigate new waters. Think of the new CEO as a solid foundation or the boat. The previous CEO is innovation or the sails. The new CFO also isn't new. He has been with the company for 3 years. He's a CPA, auditor, and managing consultant. He knows the company and has the skill. The new arrangement is a merger of energy. New combinations that utilize strengths achieve efficient and effective outcomes. The whole becomes greater than the sum of it's parts.

J2thad81 SakataGin OP : The company has a solid intellectual property portfolio. The technology is patented. They secure revenue through licensing. It will make it hard for competitors to enter the arena. The more society goes cashless the more important this technology will be. Especially person to person payments. PayToMe is a licensee of the Apptech IP. PayTo Me has partnerships with US bank, stripe, and Plaid. they are in the top 1% of global startups, connecting 7,000 apps and 12,000 financial institutions. You're right though. I don't know that anyone needs to be convinced, more like made aware. The media can be your best friend or your worst enemy. Does the stock make the news or does the news make the stock? The gains and losses based on the news are pretty artificial. I'm in for the long haul. I'd lose my ass if I pulled out now .
