Henry Hub Natural Gas Futures prices surged on Monday, reaching a new high for the past 52 weeks, following reports that temperatures in the USA will be colder than usual in January. In February, Natural Gas Futures rose by about 15% during the Trade, after the latest outlook released on Sunday by the Weather Co. and Atmospheric G2 indicated that temperatures in the eastern region are expected to be below average next month, particularly from Florida to Maine and certain areas of the Great Lakes. However, the report stated that temperatures in the western region are also expected to be below average.
