Jefferies Financial Analyst William Beavington released a research report stating that ARM's entry into the self-developed chip market is most detrimental to Broadcom and Marvell. The reason is that the customer bases of both companies overlap, which may affect Broadcom and Marvell's market share in the chip markets for data centers, networking, telecommunications, and enterprise applications. Beavington pointed out that ARM's business model is to produce small chip modules that allow customers to tailor their own chips according to their needs.
