digimonX : I haven't been following the Apple 5G modem issue for a while.  Apple originally engaged Intel to develop 5G modem for them.  Intel failed the project & Apple acquired the tech, IPs & brought over the whole team from Intel.  This was in 2019 if i remembered correctly.  It has been years & the fact that Apple is still buying modem from Qualcomm after so long means they haven't been successful at getting the final product the way it should work.
