Companies are moving to doing their own research too, so ASML is also at risk. But Qualcomm made it work the new ARM based processors for PC, the next era of phone chips to power computers with huge improvement in battery life. ASML failed in this that's why it sold it to Qualcomm, and now wants a piece of the work that Qualcomm already bought and did additional work to make it work.

Qualcomm is rightfully under valued and more valuable than ASML, that rests on historical dominance that is fading away.
