The Rebalancing

The stock market is going into a trial run of trading 24 hours a day starting July 24. It will only be stocks that are in the weighted 100 that can be traded during this trial. Later they will decide on doing the entire market this way. This is how letting retail investors trade in pre-market and after hours began. First a trial run with select stocks then all the stocks.

FANCY PANTS : DO YOU HAVE A SOURCE ON THE 24 HOUR TRADING? I CANT SEEM TO FIND ANYTHING OTHER THAN WHEN ROBINHOOD INTRODUCED IT, BUT NOT ALL BROKERS.

Mcsnacks H Tupack OP FANCY PANTS : Yea it's limited brokers at first. I can give you phone numbers I used to work on Wall Street so I called some of my contacts about it after I heard the rumor. They said it's going into effect the same way premarket and After hours trading did. Before 2020 retail investors were only allowed to trade during market hours of 9:30-4:30. But the SEC needed more traders and the place that had the largest fresh market of people wanting to trade was China but the trading hours were when most people there were asleep. So they talked to the one of the largest Chinese social media companies who were friends with the Chinese government and MooMoo was created. Right before the pandemic. Hmmm... Guess that was a coincidence.

Mcsnacks H Tupack OP FANCY PANTS : Did you know that that the only reason Tesla became so rich is because they were one of the few that were involved with the testing phase of pre- and After market trading? During market hours Tesla did terrible and the only time they made significant gains was in AH and PM trading. Apple was saved because of it also.

Mini0n : Wasn't sure they would ever do it but there was an article I read about them doing it a few months back that actually had me thinking of settng up a moomoo and robinhood(think that's who they were going to first test it with) accounts. TD selling out to Charles schwap in May is what ultimately made me open this account, need to do a robinhood one yet......you may have said this, watching several things so just did a quick read while cooking and waiting for pumps
