It is reported that Boeing has delayed the key production target of the 737 MAX by six months.
According to industry sources, Boeing has informed suppliers that a key production milestone for the 737 MAX will be delayed by 6 months, indicating difficulties in increasing production of its best-selling aircraft. The latest overall timeline requirement conveyed by Boeing to the industry's 737 suppliers is to reach a monthly production of 42 MAX aircraft by March 2025, compared to the previous target of September 2024. Since the mid-air incident in January of a 737 MAX jet's cabin door suddenly detaching, Boeing has been working hard to restore production of its top single-aisle jet because of the need.
