The Bank of America earnings tell a good story about the consumer 🙌

✅Consumer loans/leases were up 1% - slight uptick, that's a modest increase
✅Net Charge Offs flat $1.5 billion - this is a positive economic indicator
✅Consumer Charges Offs increase of $264 million from Q3 2023 to $1.2 billion - this doesn't worry me, these numbers during Covid were at historical lows and are slowly rising

A small lil break

The US stock market took a little break from their rally on Tuesday. The decline was led by the chip industry with ASML plummeting by 16% and Nvidia dropping close to 5%.
On a side note, according to Factset, about 40 of S&P 500 companies have reported their Q3 results. Among them, 80% have beaten analyst expectations.
Let’s see if the market can rebound soon.

Columns Earnings are in Full Swing, and the Market is Swinging too | Wall Street Today

The market fell Tuesday, and indexes pulled back after bank earnings came in hot, while healthcare and semiconductor company reports were more of a mixed bag. ASML earnings semiconductors back hard, and UNH results pulled back the Dow.
Just past 4 pm ET the $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ fell 0.76%, the $Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI.US)$ fell 0.75%, and the $Nasdaq Composite Index (.IXIC.US)$ fell 1.01%.
