$BHP Group Ltd (BHP.AU)$ Happily bought some just below $40 this morning just after open. BHP at these prices is my favourite bluechip investment on the ASX. In fact it's the only company I'm actively looking to buy currently.

$BHP Group Ltd (BHP.AU)$ I can't believe how weak the SP is still. I was topping up between this and RIO when I bought a week ago, RIO has rallied several dollars while this has barely moved. Meanwhile CBA floats higher on magic fumes... anyway been here before, patience for now.

The Trump factor may well be different this time.

This time it is tariffs , which regardless of its effect on markets in the US , unlikely to be great for the OZ economy.

I got $40.065 today. Either way it's good buying imo.
Market will realise world's not going to end with a few tariffs. Dividend pretty healthy here imo, I'm frontrunning the risk of rate cuts next year. There's going to be a rush for yield if we get a rate cutting cycle. Financials look stretched imo, but commods and consumer staples (WOW/COL) is where I'm looking for this play. $BHP Group Ltd (BHP.AU)$

What are people's view of a likely Trump victory on BHP?
My main concern is this increases the likelihood of tariffs on China and other countries - which will ultimately affect demand for raw materials like iron ore. $BHP Group Ltd (BHP.AU)$

BHP was $50 last Xmas because IO was north of US$140/t.
It's been mostly down hill throughout 2024.
Iron Ore will likely stay down now unless there is a blackswan event like in Jan 2019 when Vale's dam collapsed in Brazil and took considerable supply out of the seabourne market or the CCP does some massive stimulus to support the Chinese steel making industry.

$BHP Group Ltd (BHP.AU)$ They've been doing a lot of clarifying lately. Everyone's been guessing if they're going to make another move on Anglo American, but BHP made it clear that their chairman's comments weren't meant to imply that.

Dpakrwat : I don’t think so. i guess it will go sideways for some time and then if any good news it will blow up if bad news more drop. I am buying right now. Even if it goes down 5% returns are going nowhere
