BYD recently requested a 10% price cut from its supplier, Sensata Technologies. People’s Daily supported this move, stating that it’s reasonable for automakers like BYD, whose production and sales volumes are rapidly growing, to demand discounts during large-scale procurement.

But in China, the Seal sells for just $25,000 vs. the Model 3’s $32,000 price tag.
Both units are imported from…. CHINA.
EVs have ZERO TARIFFS in the Philippines. Dealers are marking up BYD to offset the lost revenue due to less need for regular maintenance where they usually gouge owners. Im surprised Tesla is selling at a disco...

This does not come as a surprise at all. VW has yet to produce a model that will rival BYD’s in terms of styling and tech. China is truly the toughest battleground for global carmakers.
