$Tesla (TSLA.US)$$Toyota Motor (TM.US)$ Tesla is running the richest ever set of incentives and discounts for its bestselling Model Y and Model 3 vehicles globally, aiming to finish the last quarter of the year with a bang and a record number of shipments. Unfortunately, most of the humanoid robot companies are not publicly listed. You can search for robot companies to invest in 2024 or 2025.
$Tesla (TSLA.US)$ Tesla doesn't seem on track to meet its 2024 sales targets. Now it's leaning hard on holiday lease deals and offers to meet its goals. It's a hypocrisy of epic proportions. A company led by a CEO who vehemently opposes federal incentives is now leveraging them aggressively as 2024 draws to a close. Musk supports ending the consumer EV credits, arguing they would ultimately benefit his company and hurt competitors - b...

Battery is the main component in the cost of an EV. If you can decrease the battery cost, you can reduce the EV selling price and generate more sales.

China is fine in not selling their EVs in US. There are so many other countries. Yes. So is Xpeng which is also making humanoid robots, flying cars and robotaxis besides EVs.
$Tesla (TSLA.US)$$BYD COMPANY (01211.HK)$$NIO Inc (NIO.US)$$XPeng (XPEV.US)$ The 2 articles showed how the two major EV makers treat their suppliers - Tesla shortens supplier payment cycle and BYD pressurized suppliers to slash cost: 1) Carscoops: A leaked email from BYD executive vice president He Zhiqi recently surfaced on Chinese social media, revealing the company’s aggressive cost-cutting plans. The email, titled “BY...

Longer payment cycle does not mean the company is able to manage cost and productivity. I prefer companies with longer payable turnover, strong cash on hand for deployment, and additional income from cash sitting in the bank. That being said, BYD have strong negotiation power compared to tesla. Cash and Cashflow is king.

Like I mentioned above, BYD may gain some advantages in squeezing the supplier (longer payment cycle and cut cost). But in the longer term, such practice will trigger a vicious cycle of supply chain shut down and eventually producing lower quality vehicles. The long payment cycle of Chinese EV makers (like BYD and NIO) of almost 300 days showed the company may be facing an unsustainable price cutting war.

I don't see a direct relationship to supply chain shutdown and or producing lower quality products. big company don't usually go with just single supplier.

Supply chain is an important factor to ensure the vehicle quality especially the core parts. Your mentality is short term gain hence you don't see the connection. Tesla seeks to work with the suppliers for the longer term in a win-win relationship.
