KBB : My opinion is that the charts and the moving averages are out of the picture now with Trump and his announcements that change every week that have significant impact to the market. I believe you can trust the moving average when things are in a normal market condition, but this is far from a normal market condition based on huge paradigm shifts in thinking economically. again, my opinion is only just that, but I offer it for consideration.

10baggerbamm OP KBB : it's very reasonable because the chess board the game has changed right now so you're absolutely correct what you're looking at in the past was a different economic condition.
it comes down to if someone like myself is going to sell a put and say where can I collect the premium and not get put the stock I've got to look at something I just can't randomly guess although there is truth in what you're saying charts and many instances are totally broken right now you can't look at a 10-day at 20-day a 250 day moving average because they've gone right through it

KBB : But to your point, I have a buy order in for another thousand shares at 5:80. I may move it to 560 because I have other things to focus on today and can’t watch all day long for a market purchase.  thank you for your thinking.

10baggerbamm OP KBB : this is where selling puts comes into play
other than put an order in it 580 look at the closest strike price look at a six strike because you'll collect I'm not looking at it right now but maybe 20 cents that puts your cost basis at 5.80 or look at a 5.50 strike you might collect 15 cents on a thousand hundred fifty bucks lowers your cost basis of your current stock cuz you collect the premium right away...
so for Friday expiration this Friday you could sell 10 contracts at a $6 strike you get 20 cents right away so if Friday 4:00 p.m. the stock closes at or below $6 you get put a thousand shares your cost basis is now $5.80 because you collected that 20 cent premium
