While I agree with everything you say (downward trend) from a long term perspective, short term there are always unexpected and expected (the unexpected). I’m running a wheel I need to see hope

• Stevie B OP 72745367 : current future is typically less than forward future.  so when they roll the futures they are rolling for a loss.   sell low buy high.  What im saying is I agree yes the weather and inventory control the futures price but they still roll for a loss so for this fund the weather and inventory just make the futures go up or down. but the roll is still a loss.   futures are typically in contango.

• Stevie B OP The Doctor : it won't.  been around 12 yrs.  Will just keep splitting.   This is not a long term hold.  This is a day trade or maybe hold a few days but other than that you will lose

• Space Dust : don't mess? it has high reward , like surfing. just last few weeks, I bought some at $42, sold few days later at 53.
  money talks.  and like surfing, some waves don't materialize, or you mess up and fall off, or you get faked by a dud.
  but, you must be able to spot a riser early. that's the first skill taught and the first one forgotten.

  some futures traders only trade the Q's. that one thing.
  actually, this would be a good swing trade if you can spot it and time it. there are additional tools. weather reports. .
