"China Dragon" ETF landed on Wall Street as the bull market returns, benchmarking the seven major ETFs in the US.
A new ETF called DRAG, "China Dragon", tracking the performance of major Chinese companies has landed on the US stock market. Its components currently include Tencent, Pinduoduo, Alibaba, Meituan, BYD, Xiaomi, JD.com, Baidu, and Netease. DRAG aims to track an equally weighted basket of stocks composed of the 5 to 10 largest and most innovative Chinese technology companies. This ETF will be rebalanced quarterly.

Or maybe they already knew these figures were going to be on the weak side, which is why we're seeing such policies being enacted in the past week.

Is China’s new stimulus a strategic policy pivot or a short-term tactical move?

I see it as a rising sense of urgency instead of a panic among China's policymakers.
Some of these measures, particularly the $71B standby facility for share purchases, don't have an immediate effect. It really depends if non-banking institutions will utilize the facility to buy in the market. And the only reason they'll do that is if they see the potential for generating returns.

Another stimulus measure from Beijing!

This one fiscal in nature directed at low income citizens.
Like I said, Beijing will be moving faster and with more determination in helping its economy and market get back on track.
China plans to distribute 150bn yuan of cash relief to low-income groups. This is a good policy move. We look for more fiscal support to improve general social welfare as part of the fiscal stimulus in the coming months.
