Soft inflation data

Stocks ended Wednesday’s session on a higher note as we got yet another soft inflation data.
The latest CPI showed that the US inflation falling is falling, which gives market and the Federal Reserve a further boost for a rate cut in Sep.
The carpet is laid out nicely for the Fed
Meanwhile, S&P 500 has recovered and recouped all the losses from its 5th Aug’s sell off.

Another week of turbulence?

Stock market began last week with a sharp sell-off on growing concern of a US recession. However, by the end of the week, the market has almost completely reversed its violent sell off.
This week, we have a number of economic data come up - including CPI, PPI, retail sales, initial jobless claim.
Wouldn’t be surprised if we see another week of wild swings.
