China Telecom released its June operational data: 0.3366 billion 5G package users.
China Telecom (00728.HK) released its operation data for June 2024. In June 2024, the number of mobile users reached 416.85 million households, with a net increase of 1.47 million users for the month. The number of 5G package users reached 336.63 million households, with a net increase of 2.37 million users for the month. The number of wired broadband users reached 193.35 million households, with a net increase of 0.51 million users for the month. The number of fixed telephone users was 99.16 million households.
Beijing Dahao Technology Corp., Ltd. (603025.SH): Its holding subsidiary has preliminary cooperation with China Telecom's subsidiary, China Telecom Quantum Information Technology Group, on products such as quantum encryption machines.

Despite China Telecom's limited growth expectations, investors are willing to pay for exposure to the stock, potentially setting themselves up for future disappointment.
