Dollar General Stock Discussion

Yikers : I believe the bad is in. We'll probably stagnate here until there is a surprise on the good side. could be fourth quarter is better than expected and things turn around soon, could take a year. In the end dollar general has some excellent locations in under served areas that give it a unique competitive advantage. if they can get loser thieves under control things will start to look up.

austinwm Yikers : DG has many many problems.  A huge one is theft. Another big problem is finding good workers for the pay that they offer. Most stores here in the Florida panhandle have back rooms full of merchandise that hasn't been touched and shelves that are mty.
For me as a produce manager in a market I have huge problems with Spartan Nash one of our suppliers sending short dated, or out of date food! Everything is very time consuming.  Then there is Capital city produce that brings the fresh produce.... They suck as a produce distributor. The list goes on and on.  On a bright side corporate has been coming to me to ask questions so maybe we can fix some of these problems.  I'm  hoping for a turn around,  just acquired another 100 shares.
