Ken Griffin Charity : Tariffs have uses when they are targeted towards specific sectors, but not when they are across the board for no apparent reason. Trump’s reasoning for the broad tariffs is illegal immigration and fentanyl which is brainless nonsense.
For anyone who thinks these tariffs are beneficial, just take a look at the tariff war with China back in 2018: China had a trade surplus, and their exports somehow still rose. On the other hand, US trade deficit increased, and US manufacturers STILL stayed in China; they’re still there today.
