• 27182818 : How did you know when to call this? Asking because I expected the pop last summer when the Boeing mission failed, SpaceX took over, and the schedule was announced.
  But nothing happened (except to Boeing lol). Why wasn't this news baked in then?

• 10baggerbamm OP 27182818 : will you have to use some common sense a year ago I mentioned this it was around $10 they're holdings of SpaceX represented under 10% of the portfolio each time SpaceX has done raises the valuation of the holdings go up now this is like 35% of this ETF.
  okay so that's why you need to own it because this and only one other ETF for the ways to have ownership in SpaceX as a regular person.
  why I said to buy it last week and was expecting a pop is very simply there's so much pessimism surrounding Tesla right now so much pessimism surrounding Elon Musk.
  this is a huge win for Elon Musk this is a huge win for the United States there's no one in their right mind that would say leave them up there to die leave the astronauts to die.
  Elon Musk did an interview last week he asked about Doge Larry kudlow was doing the interview who is president Trump's economic advisor during his first term. towards the end of the interview he says I want to ask you one last question he says this is outside of Doge he says are you going to go get those people that are stuck in space the astronauts.
  and Elon Musk  said yes we're going to get them.
  so it's common sense to me that this is going to have a huge gain when they blast off dock at the space station and now tomorrow they're back the crazy thing is ABC CBS NBC not one of them showed any media coverage of this event happening that's the scumbags that exist within the Democratic party Biden abandoned these people up in space nobody else could get them NASA couldn't get them NASA was a year out Russia they're not interested in helping China they're not interested in helping these people could have died.
  only Elon Musk
  so this is a huge win for America for the astronauts for SpaceX and The Man behind SpaceX is Elon Musk so it's had to go up and it's not because people are buying SpaceX it's the perception that it's a huge win and the value of that company even though they didn't do a raise .. the public image the perception is the company's worth more because they just saved astronauts so when the rubber hits the road and you've got a problem there's only one man to call and that's Elon Musk.

• 27182818 : Well, I did buy last summer at 10 for exactly the same reason as you.  But I sold too soon (at a big profit!) after NASA rescheduled this mission.
  It's the political connection I don't understand.  I mean, neither Trump  nor Biden paid any attention to this until after NASA and SpaceX had finalized the schedule. We knew when it was going to happen 6 months ago.
  I get the engineering and the logistics. I get long-term economics. But I don't get how to predict when something will attract political attention. This is my biggest trading problem.  :(

• 27182818 : Elon is brilliant when he sticks to what he knows.  Wish he'd pay more attention to Tesla, SpaceX etc.
  Regardless of what you think of him, SpaceX is going to dominate the off-Earth economy.
