General Electric Company (GE) Q2 2024 Earnings Call Transcript
GE Aviation and Aerospace raises outlook for 2024: Believes supply constraints have affected delivery of jet engines.
General Electric (GE) Aviation raised its full-year profit forecast on Tuesday after the company's quarterly profits exceeded Wall Street estimates, but the company said supply constraints remain an obstacle to meeting strong demand for jet engines. Larry Culp, the company's CEO, said in an interview that despite progress in improving the supply situation, it is still not enough to meet the needs of all customers. General Aviation and Aerospace announced that second-quarter output of the LEAP engine decreased by 20% from the previous quarter. The LEAP engine powers Airbus and Boeing narrow-body planes, and deliveries are expected to remain flat this year.
