Intel CEO Chen Liyu: Will divest non-core Assets and needs to replenish lost talent.
Intel's CEO, Chen Lifeng, stated that the chip manufacturer will divest non-core Assets that do not align with the company's vision, and develop new products including custom Semiconductors to better meet customer needs. Chen mentioned that Intel needs to replenish its lost engineering talent, improve its balance sheet, and better adjust its production processes to meet the demands of potential customers. During the Intel Vision conference held in Las Vegas on Monday, Chen made his debut as CEO in public. He did not specify which Businesses he believes will no longer be core to Intel's future. "We still have a lot of hard work to do," he said to the audience.
