A taxi in New York hit pedestrians, injuring 7 people, with police stating the driver suffered a sudden illness.
According to the USA police, on Wednesday local time, a taxi in New York City veered off the sidewalk and struck pedestrians outside Macy's, resulting in 7 injuries; the cause of the accident was a sudden illness of the taxi driver. This incident occurred in Midtown Manhattan, near the flagship Macy's store at Pioneer Plaza, close to the corner of West 34th Street and Americas Avenue (Sixth Avenue). The police added that among the injured, in addition to the 58-year-old taxi driver, there were a 9-year-old boy, two 49-year-old women, and four others aged 19, 37, and 41 years respectively. The police stated that a 49-year-old woman with a leg injury and a woman with a cut were among the injured.
