The put options are so bugged. I see the old put option chain moving. But, the new one is dead and no action. Wow! Just wow! What a rigged place the stock market.

$MBIA (MBI.US)$i think i bought my puts too early. buyers remorse to be honest i wouldn't buy or short. too many unknowns and this is fraudulently being cooked. i see this flying to 21, drop 8 and then back to 21.+ no one knows and its a risky gamble all around. and its that, a gamble.

Yeah the OCC wouldn't answer my questions, but I had $9 puts on Robinhood that I kept because they had no buyers. If you have puts, they are charging you per contract the difference between that and the $8 dividend. So my strike on RH is still $9, but I woke up this morning and found that I was charged $1/contract. My wife has $11 strikes, and she was charged $3/contract. Just killing IV with options and that complete BS
$MBIA (MBI.US)$ so long we hold the stock by 18/12, stay through 22/12 for payout? but the cut off period is 26/12? Should not the ex date be before record date?? Any advice, anyone?

the record date is 18th and it takes a day for settlement. it is imo today 12/15 is the last day to be recorded. T+1. some say you can still buy monday but that all depends on your broker and how quickly the clearinghouse underwrites it. if one really wants that divvy, imo should buy today to get it for certain. im not recommending to buy or short or anything. this whole thing is fishy with their wrong dates from the start.
$MBIA (MBI.US)$what stops me from buying on ex divident and getting 8$/share on the 22nd and sell it right after

You need to buy before 15th because after that it’s ex-dividend and therefore you won’t qualify for any purchase after 15z need to hold shares until 18 so you can get dividend on 22nd

Before ex-date you bought will entitled. To continue entitlement, we need to keep till payout date ? Or we can let go after ex-date ?
