If you have been following the news on the China economic development and recovery, we have seen the Chinese ADRs in a rut.
Though the market yesterday (08 Jul 2024) are in a mixed environment, indices did clear in the positive gains, but the Chinese ADRs stocks like $PDD Holdings(PDD.US$ $Baidu(BIDU.US$ did not benefit from it.

Need some volatility to trade the current market. Nice to see VIX jumping to a 6-week high and above the 200 moving average.
If it can go above 16, then options premiums wil be juicier. But it could also mean the current mini pullback could be extended.

I agree with this Barrons article. The market is absolutely overdue for a correction. This melt-up is getting a bit ridiculous. The market just keeps climbing.
That being said, don't sell the rally just yet. Things can stay overbought for a long time. And this rally has been showing no signs of slowing down just yet. Often the biggest moves happen towards the end of a rally.

China's CPI growth was the weakest since the global financial crisis at -0.8% YoY in January. Equally dismal was the PPI reading of -3.4% YoY. There does seem to be a bit of activity in the services sector with slight price growth there but CPI for consumer goods was down -1.7% YoY, and PPI for consumer durables down -2.3% YoY.
