MetLife Group has agreed to acquire the assets of Barings from the PineBridge Investments Group, aiming to enhance growth in the Asset Management Business. A statement released on Monday indicated that MetLife's institutional Asset Management business, MetLife Investment Management, will purchase the concentrated shares of Barings for 0.8 billion USD, which manages approximately 100 billion USD in assets. This transaction also includes an additional 0.2 billion USD tied to achieving specific financial targets by 2025, as well as another 0.2 billion USD linked to multi-year profits.
