Market doesn’t seem to like the CPI data. The latest data came in line with expectation, which means the Fed is unlikely to go with a 50 bps cut. A 25 bps is more likely now.

Bank stocks got hit hard as JP Morgan reported a lower expectations for net interest income for 2025. JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley etc all fell.
But that didn’t bring down the market as S&P500 and Nasdaq posted back-to-back winning days.
On Wed, the latest CPI data will be released. It's the last big economic number before the next Fed’s decision on 18 Sep.
