In the early hours of the first trading days of 2025, the futures are green. Investors would hope to regain 2024’s bullish momentum after a few consecutive days of pullback.
2023 and 2024 have given us more than 20% return in S&P500. If we can get that for a third year in a row, that will be phenomenal.

The US stock market ended Tuesday, 31 December, lower as investors wrapped up another stellar year that saw the S&P500 gained by 24%.
This is its 2nd straight annual gain of more than 20%. The last time this happened was in 1997-1998.
All that said, the 3 red days is a small warning to investors that there are still uncertainties and potential headwinds as we go into 2025 - inflation, rate cut campaign, Trump 2.0, companies earnings etc.
