the explanation that all these mental Giants are telling me is the convertible holder the creditor shorted microstrategy stock as a strategy..
the stock went against them and they requested to have their convertible note redeemed early by Michael Saylor..
now business is very cutthroat if you can't figure it out and if somebody's going to try to sink your stock by selling it short you don't oblige them and do them a favor to mitigate their losses and breach contract of a 0% convertible note in 2027 to today
the company does not win the shareholders do not win the only person that avoided a massive loss of what had to be several billion dollars if you went short the stock is the creditor.
so why would you call that convertible to help them out?
let them go into the open market and cover their losses directly you don't let them take the stock that they're going to be issued as part of the conversion to cover the short
this is an absolute bullshit explanation

I'm not an accountant nor do I have desire to read the tax code because it's tens of thousands of pages
but I have to believe that if there was any validity to that article it would be blowing up on TV because the tax obligations would hit Tesla as well it will hit everybody that holds Bitcoin in any shape or form they would be getting hit with the same type of tax and since that story has not happened all year long the new year how can it be a valid story how can that be a true article???

if you are a creditor you own the convertible note and you do something so stupid as to short the stock in the current market and it went against you you do not have the ability to demand the debtor which is micro strategy Michael sayler to call your note early and convert it to common stock class A to cover your massive loss because you freaking shorted it.
these are the idiots that exist in the real world that are supposedly smart people to have come up with this explanation these are the analysts that I've corresponded with this is how stupid they are to come up with this idiotic asinine explanation
