It is reported that Nvidia will use Samsung's HBM 3 chip in its ai chips.
According to two sources who received notifications from Nvidia, Nvidia has informed its suppliers that it will begin integrating Samsung's fourth and fifth-generation high-bandwidth memory (HBM) chips, HBM3 and HBM3E, into its AI chips. HBM represents high-bandwidth memory, which is crucial for improving data processing speed, especially for AI applications that require a lot of computing power. Currently, there are only three main manufacturers of HBM: Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron. The approval of Samsung's HBM3 chips by Nvidia comes at a time when Nvidia and other AI chipmakers are working hard to meet the demand of the Generative AI trend.
