China is still struggling to recover in post-Covid era compared to many other economies that have recovered. She is still saddled with lots of unsold properties and slow growth.

The government lacks the ability to collect direct taxes, so it has to inflate inflation to dilute debt. Compared with developed countries, China's civil servants are appointed for life, so there is no way to cut government spending. Real estate tax revenue can't be collected so we have to print money.
