Dragon Fish OP : The Chinese electric-vehicle maker posted a net loss of 1.81 billion yuan, equivalent to $250.1 million, compared with 3.89 billion yuan a year earlier, it said Tuesday. That missed the 1.60 billion yuan net loss estimate of analysts polled by Visible Alpha.
Revenue rose 18% to 10.10 billion yuan, exceeding analysts' expectations of 10.04 billion yuan, which XPeng attributed to higher deliveries and stronger revenue from its technical collaboration with Volkswagen.
The company's gross margin rose to a record 15.3% from 14.0% in the second quarter. Its gross margin was a negative 2.7% a year earlier.
Excluding share-based compensation expenses and other items, XPeng's adjusted net loss was 1.53 billion yuan during the quarter, narrowing from 2.79 billion yuan a year ago.
For the fourth quarter, the EV maker forecast deliveries to rise 45%-51% to 87,000-91,000 vehicles and revenue to increase 17%-24% to between 15.3 billion yuan and 16.2 billion yuan.

Dragon Fish OP : Net loss missed the estimate. Only revenue beats the estimate. Not really a fantastic QR. Their Q4 target is quite high 87k to 91k. Nio is unable to beat XPeng like this.

With over 60000 NIO cars sold in Q3, and only small number of battery swap stations were built in same period. We could foresee much better financial results to report tomorrow!
