$NANO Nuclear Energy (NNE.US)$ 22 and 1/2 is the moving average it has constantly traded through that on the downside.. not the dollar amount the moving average I'm referring to so you need to understand everybody else sees this as well. so you can wait till it falls or you can sell puts at or around that strike price and collect the premiums right up front on a weekly basis to generate some money while you're waiting for the stock to hit that level.

Sean Parker JennyLeitch : he's just saying buy put options for now because he thinks the price will drop soon. if you can afford it, maybe not a bad idea.

10baggerbamm OP Sean Parker : I'm not saying buy put options. it's important to understand that when you buy a put or buy a call you're making a bet and that bet it must be right on two fronts. if it's a call the stock must rise to that strike price or close to it or exceed it within the time frame before that option expires and even if it goes up you can still lose because of the decay Factor which is the time that erodes every second of every day up to expiration so even if the stock goes up but it goes up very slowly you're losing the time value.. and same thing with the put it needs to fall within that time frame and a faster that stock falls the more money you'll make because you still have time value left. so statistically 90% of the people that buy puts and buy calls lose their money. because even if the stock does go up or down if it takes too long to get there your option goes to zero.
by selling a put you pick the strike price that you think you would want to own that stock at you pick the time frame and somebody else places the bet. so you're playing the casino you're playing the house you're letting the person on the other side make the bet with their money that the stock will fall to your strike price or less than it within that time frame and in exchange they pay you a premium like an insurance premium they pay it to you right up front and it's yours to keep no matter what happens.
if on the expiration day which is a Friday at 4:00 p.m. that stock is at the money at that price of the strike or in the money below then you own that stock and your cost basis would be the strike price minus the premium that you received..
if the stock never reaches that price on expiration day you kept the premium for free and you get to do it again the next Monday if you choose to.
so by selling puts on companies that you want to own you get paid up front and most of the time the other person they lost their money because the stock doesn't close at or below that strike price on expiration day.

$NANO Nuclear Energy (NNE.US)$ if you're down a few dollars in this I wouldn't panic number one because it'll have another cycle but in the meantime they have weekly options you can sell call options against your position the premiums are very good because of the volatility that exists in the stock so if you have round lots hundreds 100 200 500 1000 shares for example any round lot number you can sell calls against your position to lower your cost basis or bring in cash while you're waiting for ...

Jensen 108 : waiting for opportunity to buy back. sold at 33 last Friday. now not sure waiting for 26+

10baggerbamm OP Jensen 108 : so if 26 is your number then sell a put at a 26 strike price right now for a Friday expiration you'll collect a good premium because the stock is down and if it Friday at 4:00 p.m. it closes at $26 or a penny less you're put the stock at 26 if it closes above 26 you're keeping the premium anyways and your limit order to buy a 26 would have never been triggered anyways so by doing what I'm suggesting you win either way.
right now you can put a limit order to sell at 90 cents for a 26 strike this Friday's expiration and it would take a couple of minutes and you'd be filled at 90 cents so if you sell 10 contracts you make $900 cash right now in your pocket if the stock trades up from here that option is going to expire worthless if the stock is 26.01 on Friday 4:00 p.m. that option expires worthless you keep the premium

10baggerbamm OP Jensen 108 : my suggestion is you educate yourself because when you sell puts and you sell covered calls you're basically playing the house and statistically people that buy calls and buy puts lose 90% of the time so that means flip it you're going to be right 90% of the time by selling puts and selling calls. at your convenience the little round circle to top of your screen do a search understanding option basics and read it there's videos there's a lot of great information that will take you from completely green not understanding anything to be in a very sophisticated option investor/trader. using options increases the total return on your portfolio significantly and mitigates risk dramatically if done correctly. and if you have questions ask because there's some people on this forum that are very very bright and use options routinely not just to speculate with but to hedge a position to lower cost basis into initiate a position
