_MK_Watcher_ : In a safer notes, due to transaction record and updates in systems, buy beforr xD date and only sell after xD will entitle the declared dividend. Be noted that, in unlikely situation, the stock price on xD might plunge as much as the declared cents, if the market sentiment is usually bad. It is rare, but is possible.
Long-term view with cautionary approach is suggested to manage it.
