According to informed sources, SoftBank Group and its subsidiary Arm Holdings Plc are studying the Trade of acquiring Ampere Computing LLC. The sources said that while Ampere is exploring strategic options, it has also attracted Arm's acquisition interest. As the discussions are private, the sources requested anonymity. Ampere is a semiconductor design company backed by Oracle. The sources warned that negotiations could still fall apart, and Ampere could also ultimately be acquired by another suitor.
