Reports suggest that amazon will shut down the free streaming service Freevee.
According to sources, amazon is set to shut down its free, ad-supported streaming service Freevee and merge it into the subscription-based Prime Video product. Sources revealed that amazon plans to transfer some staff and programs from Freevee to Prime Video. Due to these changes not being announced yet, sources requested anonymity. Some programs must remain in a free format due to contract restrictions, and amazon is working on continuing to offer these programs on its main website. Launched in 2019, the service is an offshoot of amazon's movie data site IMDb.
