BelleWeather watuzzi : I am long D-Wave shares and think it promising. I have been writing CCs on it to lower coat basis (now beliw zero,) and produce income. But I anticipated a drop in quantum tickers based on valuations and current utility and scalability. To that end I also wrote some naked calls on it and  related tickers (in a different account,) in hopes that January volatility would move them in my favor quickly, and was lucky and able to close sooner than expected (naked calls are scary.) I do think DCA into dips on QBTS is a solid strategy (as well as on others in the space, IONQ is at an attractive entry for example,  though my basket in the soace is full.) I agree that the words of the CEO are fairly meaningless, as they dont address nearterm profitability nor scalability, only limited utility. Though I’m not sure if investors are as savvy as you suggest, at least not across the board (keep seeing rocket emojis and vehement claims that these tickers will bounce back and higher, very soon.)

74917530 : The bubble burst. these stocks are volatile and high risk. Look at the chart past few months. Quantum computing stock prices are hyped!! I plan to buy when prices have fallen around pre-hype levels, and wait 5+ years….

I have been told many times that Quantum computers are not here yet when I told people I started investing, and they still invest in NVIDIA believing that it will grow bigger…I was like okay… I Sold all NVIDIA shares with profits(Thanks!) and moved to Quantum computing sector, I like being ahead of others

watuzzi : You think it is sooner, but big companies that are “profitable” right now, are advancing on AI quarterly. Not yearly or on a 5-year span. If you are pumping it again. Investors are not falling for pump and dump scheme again. They need something to hold on to so that we know this is worth something and making big money. But the price is still on correction phase so stay tunes until then. Wait for it to settle with so much volatility right now.
